It’s the lightest alpine shell jacket, yet it’s still very robust and packed with great features!

To reflect the varying requirements of different areas of the jacket we have opted for ‘zonal’ fabric technology and used two different versions of our weatherproof TEXAPORE fabric. The front and back are precision tailored from extremely lightweight TEXAPORE 3GRID DT.

At the areas where the rucksack straps and belt cause greater abrasion and higher water pressures occur, and those where better breathability is required, we have used super-breathable TEXAPORE O2 TASLITE DT, which has higher hydrostatic head and moisture vapour transmission ratings. Both fabrics have a 2.5 layer structure, with a special protective coating on the reverse side that replaces a lining and thus saves weight. Dispensing with zip flaps and using water resistant zips instead has the same effect. As befits a high performance alpine jacket, the ACCELERATE is equipped with venting pit zips and three practical, easy-access pockets.
